Terms & Conditions
Last updated October 14, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Radar ("Radar", "we"). Radar is operated by Carlos Lagrange, in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Radar you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Radar.
1. What Radar is
Radar is a live map of what is happening around you. People post at places, other people see those posts on the map and in the feed, and can answer them. Radar is a way for people to find each other. We are not a party to anything you arrange with someone you meet through it: a sale, a favour, a meeting, a job, an adoption.
2. Who can use Radar
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live, if it is higher). If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. One person, one account: you are responsible for what happens on yours, so keep access to your email safe.
3. What you post
What you post is yours. By posting it you give Radar a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, show, reproduce and distribute it within the service, so that Radar can work. The licence ends when you delete the post or your account, except for copies other people made while it was up and backups we keep for a short time.
Posts are public and are pinned to a location you choose. Do not post a location you would not want strangers to know, such as your home.
4. What is not allowed
Do not use Radar to: break the law; harass, threaten or defame anyone; post sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content without consent; sell weapons, drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods, or anything it is illegal to sell where you are; trade in animals in ways the law forbids; spam, scam or mislead people; pretend to be someone else; post other people's private information; collect data from Radar by automated means; or interfere with how Radar works.
Radar has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You can report a post, and block a person, from the menu on any post.
Child safety: Radar has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material, sexualising minors, grooming, sextortion and trafficking. Report it from the post's menu or to support@radar.place; reports about anything in Kids are read first. We remove it, close the accounts involved, keep what the law requires us to keep, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the authorities (NCMEC's CyberTipline, the UK's Internet Watch Foundation or National Crime Agency, or the local equivalent). Radar's child safety contact is carlos@radar.place.
5. Meeting people and making deals
Be careful. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, check what you are buying before you pay, and never send money to someone you have not met. Radar does not verify the people, things, animals, jobs or events that are posted, and is not responsible for what other people do.
6. How Radar reads your posts
Radar uses automated systems, including AI models run by service providers, to understand what a post is about: to give it an icon and a short label on the map, and to offer the right button to the people who see it. You can correct this from the menu on your own post. These systems make mistakes.
Radar also shows events and local news gathered from public pages, each with its source and a short summary written by an AI model. A summary can be wrong or out of date: check the source before you rely on it.
7. Our rights
Radar, its name, logo, design and software belong to us. We give you a personal, revocable licence to use the app. The map is provided by Mapbox and its data providers, under their own terms.
8. Ending things
You can stop using Radar at any time and delete your account in Settings, under Account. Deleting it is final: it cannot be recovered. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.
9. No warranties; limits on liability
Radar is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, and what people post may be wrong. To the fullest extent the law allows, Radar is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other users, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last twelve months or 50 US dollars. Some places do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.
10. Changes
We may change these terms as Radar changes. If a change matters we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using Radar after that means you accept the new terms.
11. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts decide disputes about them. If you live in another country, you keep the protections its law gives consumers and that an agreement cannot take away, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
